We’re excited to announce the launch of Pina, our latest Augmented Reality experience developed in collaboration with Beletrina Digital Publishing House. Set in the stunning historical surroundings of Miramare Castle, Pina offers visitors a unique, interactive way to explore cultural heritage through technology — with accessibility as a key foundation.
With spatial audio, rich visuals, subtitles, and inclusive design considerations, Pina ensures that stories from the past are made accessible to all audiences — including those with visual, auditory, or motor impairments. This project reflects CtrlARt’s ongoing commitment to inclusive innovation in cultural spaces.
Whether you’re wandering the gardens or exploring the castle interiors, Pina brings history to life, one digital layer at a time.

ECOSISTEMA DEI MARGINI: AR, ART & NATURE CROSSING BORDERS

ECOSISTEMA DEI MARGINI: AR, ART & NATURE CROSSING BORDERSWe’re proud to share a new video highlighting Ecosistema dei Margini, a cross-border Augmented Reality experience developed through a unique collaboration between Ctrlart (Slovenia), BEPART (Italy), and the Swiss street art duo NEVERCREW.
The project brings to life 11 animated animals based on the artists' illustrations, integrated into the BEPART AR app. Each creature represents a voice from the margins — of nature, society, and visibility — inviting users to explore an immersive ecosystem layered over the physical world.
The video offers a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the project, including interviews with our team members Yishai Damari (Lead 3D Production) and Gaja Slokar (Lead Designer), as well as BEPART co-founders Joris Jaccarino and Giovanni Franchina. Together, they reflect on the creative process, technical challenges, and the cultural importance of AR in public and heritage spaces.
The project was officially presented at the Fa’ la cosa giusta! fair in Milan, where visitors could explore the ecosystem live through the BEPART app.
“This project was made possible thanks to the financial support of the Culture of Solidarity Fund powered by the European Cultural Foundation.”
