CtrlArt at Epicenter GameDev Conference 2025: Showcasing VR Innovation and Inspiring Future Creators15/9/2025 This past weekend, CtrlArt had the pleasure of participating in the Epicenter GameDev Conference 2025 in Maribor, Slovenia – a gathering of passionate developers, students, and gaming enthusiasts from across the region. Our team brought Planet Attack VR, our fast-paced mixed-reality shooter, to the show floor, giving attendees a chance to blast asteroids, dodge incoming threats, and compete for high scores. It was exciting to see so many players of all ages step into VR for the first time and walk away smiling. In addition to the booth showcase, CtrlArt’s director, Nadav Sagir, joined the main-stage panel discussion: "Game Development as a Tool for Creative Expression and Opportunity for Career Development, Utilizing Next-Generation Technologies" Panelists: Nadav Sagir (CtrlArt) & Denis Selčan (Hearth Pixel Studios) Moderator: Rok Gumzej The panel explored how VR, AR, and AI are opening up new forms of creative expression and unlocking opportunities for the next generation of developers, artists, and storytellers. Nadav emphasized how game development can be both a powerful artistic medium and a gateway for young people to build future-ready skills — from programming and 3D design to collaboration and critical thinking. "Games are no longer just entertainment — they are a space where technology and creativity meet to solve problems, tell meaningful stories, and create new career pathways," Nadav shared during the panel. Why Events Like Epicenter MatterConferences like Epicenter help connect Slovenia’s growing game development community with the global industry. They create space for collaboration, inspiration, and practical discussions about how technology can empower the next wave of creators. We are proud to be part of this ecosystem and excited about the conversations sparked by our VR showcase and panel session. What’s NextWe are continuing development on Planet Attack VR, preparing new levels and features to make the game even more engaging. Stay tuned for upcoming updates, playtests, and announcements. A heartfelt thank-you to the Epicenter organizers, fellow panelists, and everyone who visited our stand. See you next year!
