At the end of 2023, we successfully concluded the three-year proof-of-concept project Di-GOZD, with CtrlArt participating as part of a larger consortium led by Kocevski-les, the leading forestry agency. We introduced our Augmented Reality (AR) technology to forestry inventory practices, developing an innovative application that enables both forest owners and professionals to digitally scan and inventory their forests. This includes defining forest boundaries, scanning trees to obtain accurate information on tree properties, identifying forest paths, and supporting long-term forest maintenance.
Our application collects real-world data and integrates it into a large database and web platform, allowing forest owners to analyze this information in conjunction with state databases and access all other relevant data sources. The project also encourages small forest owners to inspect and inventory their plots more easily, supporting them in maintaining their forests and inviting forestry management officials to assist as needed.
We believe this European project will revolutionize forestry inventory across Europe, ushering it into the digital age by making all necessary equipment accessible on personal mobile devices. As part of this project, we conducted numerous field tests and training sessions for forestry officials, introducing them to our technology and its practical applications.
