In November 2012 the permanent exhibition "i emona" by the Ljubljana City Museum opened, featuring digital reconstructions of the ancient roman city of Emona, along with the in-situ archeological finds of the Roman remains. The project of setting up the exhibition within an area undergoing park renovation and underground garage construction, brought the city of Ljubljana the Gubbio Award, given by the Italian Association of Historic and Artistic Centers - A.N.C.S.A. for successful attempt of integration of cultural heritage with the needs of a modern city.
